A Group 1 winning stable with a passion and commitment to ensure every horse gets their chance to be a Champion.

Ballymore Stables was established in 1982 by Hall Of Fame trainer Mike Moroney and quickly became a stable capable of producing elite racehorses.

Fast forward to the present day, and Pam Gerard’s newly established Ballymore Racing is quickly continuing on that path.

Pam trained in partnership with Mike Moroney for over 10 years forming a great team of horses which produced Group 1 performers on both sides of the Tasman including Roch ‘N’ Horse, Tofane, Arrogant and On The Rocks to name a few.

In July 2024, Pam took over the business in New Zealand and Ballymore Racing was launched into the spotlight with Gr.1 2000 Guineas winner Savaglee headlining an impressive start to the new regime. This was followed up by training the quinella of the Gr.1 2000 Guineas in 2025 with Romanoff and Affirmative Action.

Pam and her team put a particular emphasis on high standards of work and ultimately let the horses do the talking on the track.
